Tabatha Coffey has devoted her entire professional life to achieving excellence in hair design and education. For three successful seasons, she has brought her years of hands-on experience to Bravo’s hit series, "Tabatha's Salon Takeover.” As previously announced by Bravo, “Tabatha Takes Over” has been picked up as a new format in its fourth season. Produced by Reveille with Howard T. Owens as Executive Producer, Coffey, the tressed-to-kill queen of salon transformations, hits the road again – but this time she’s taking over more than just salons. “Tabatha Takes Over” follows the demanding perfectionist as she takes over various small businesses and family enterprises and whips them into shape.
Coffey recently released a best-selling memoir titled It's Not Really About the Hair: The Honest Truth About Life, Love, and the Business of Beauty via Harper Collins/ItBooks. The book is currently in its third printing and has consistently sold out at venues across the country during Coffey’s national book tour. The three-month tour brought Coffey through cities like Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Austin, Atlanta, New York City, Chicago, Toronto, Minneapolis, Boston and Columbus.
Coffey’s recent accolades include the award for Logo’s fourth annual NewNowNext Awards where she won the trophy for fan-voted “Most Addictive Reality Star.” She works regularly as editorial stylist and contributing writer for fashion and beauty publications including a guest blogger stint with PopSugar. Coffey also shined on the red carpet as Award Show correspondent for TV Guide Channel at the 2011 Academy Awards and appeared as expert on Fashion Wrap episodes for the 2011 Grammy Awards and Academy Awards. She has also been tapped as a Presenter for this year’s GLAAD Media Awards.
With her signature edgy style, youthful energy and exceptional skills as an artist and educator, Tabatha Coffey is without question the industry's golden girl. Coffey's resume reads like a biography of a born hairstylist. From the beginning of her career when she was 14 in her native Surfer's Paradise, Australia, to time spent learning from Vidal Sasson in London, to her appearance as the "Fan Favorite" on Bravo's hit series, "Shear Genius" in 2007, Coffey has been completely devoted to the art of hair. For 10 years, Coffey represented a globally known hair company as a key member of the Artistic Team. In addition to regularly traveling around the world to educate stylists and represent the company at hair shows, Coffey also worked closely to help create the incredible hairstyles featured in advertising and trend collection imagery. Over the last 28 years, Coffey has worked with a veritable who's-who of the industry in Australia, Great Britain and the United States.
